SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

The Denton County A&M Club funds scholarships annually through contributions, membership dues, and fund-raisers.  Our scholarship program is the centerpiece of what the Club provides to the community and our support of Texas A&M University.  Each year, we support a group of distinguished young individuals that are committed to attend Texas A&M and represent the best and brightest from Denton County through financial scholarships.

Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) scholarships have a unique set of eligibility criteria and application processes. Please review all application requirements and deadlines carefully. No documentation will be accepted outside the application portal or after the scholarship deadlines listed below. Please note the universal scholarship application opens January 15, 2025.

 

Cups Jars Vessels, an IRS designated 501(c)(3) organization is proud to offer two CJV Elite $1000 scholarships to assist graduating seniors with covering the costs of college tuition and books. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school students who plan to enroll and attend a two or four-year college or university in the fall of 2025.

  • requirements: seniors who plan to enroll in college, recent high school transcript, a short statement explaining your financial need or how a scholarship can assist you (and your family if applicable) financially, attach a typed short (at least 500-words; double-spaced) essay describing your career goals.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

The One Southlake Scholarship for 2025 provides College and Technical School Scholarships to exceptional students. It requires several hours of online coursework, an essay or video presentation and an application. It is open to 10th through 12th graders, including home-school students, who live in Denton County. One student will be awarded: First Prize: $2,000;  Second Prize: $1,500;  Third Prize: $1,000

 

The Wendy Walker Legacy of Leadership Scholarship, funded by Soul Patrol, celebrates the core values of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – Phi Psi Zeta Chapter: Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. This scholarship supports minority/BIPOC high school seniors in Denton and Collin Counties, empowering future leaders committed to education and community impact.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Scholarship opportunity for current seniors and/or patients at Country Lakes Family Dental. Patient Scholarship is $1,000, and the Student Scholarship is $500. Winner announced May 9th.

  • Requirements: 2 recommendation letters preferably from educators or employers, a resume, and an essay (500-1,000 words) titled "What makes You smile." The essay should consist of what inspires you, and how you plan on using this inspiration to achieve this goal.

The Double Oak Women’s Club is dedicated to helping graduating seniors from our community who are continuing his/her education. We award the scholarship(s) to a deserving student, who is pursuing educational opportunities at a college, university, technical or trade institution. We look for students who exhibits a desire to excel in the following areas: Character, Academics, Community Service, and Leadership. Scholarship Amount:  $1,000

Flower Mound Seniors in Motion

The Flower Mound Seniors In Motion is offering three $2,000.00 scholarships to two graduating seniors that are residents of Flower Mound and will be furthering his/her education upon graduation. Application(s) and all completed documentation will be reviewed by SIM Advisory Board members and winners will be announced in June. The scholarship will be distributed in the fall once proper proof of registration at the university, college, or trade school has been provided. Please put the last 4 digits of your Social Security number on all pages of your application. 

Your completed application must include the following:

  3. Letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator 
  4. Résumé
