Teacher of the Year!

We want to congratulate all teachers that were nominated for Teacher of the Year. It demonstrates the esteem that many colleagues have for you.

Our 2008-09 Marcus Teacher of the Year is Gina Karbs. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Not only is she a fabulous and caring math teacher, but she works tirelessly behind the scenes on Student Council events, dances, prom, the junior class, fundraising, planning special events for the school, making signs for athletes, etc. and the list goes on and on. She is incredibly selfless and honestly loves serving with a whole heart Marcus HS. Always promoting a positive image for MHS and encourages students to do their best. Goes above and beyond her teaching duties! I can’t imagine why not. She is always working so hard for the kids and the staff. She never stops and I have never heard her complain. She represents the Marcus spirit. Not only is Gina a great teacher in the classroom, but she gives a lot of time and effort to making Marcus a better place as a whole. Without her and StuCo, MHS would not be nearly as vibrant and fun for everyone. The students really appreciate her too. Constantly working to help teachers and students. A really hard worker for LISD. Not only is she a great teacher, she is always involved with projects such as Prom, Homecoming, the parade and the dance. Supports all groups and athletes.
