Selective Service

Attention Parents of 18 year old boys
The Selective Service System requires that all young men register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. This is federal law. Registration is also required to stay eligible for many Federal and state benefits and student financial aid. The easiest way to register is to use the Selective Service web site <www.sss.gov>. Click "Register Online Now". He can enter some basic information and within 30 seconds, he will receive a Selective Service number. In about two weeks, he will receive an acknowledgement card in the mail. We will also soon have registration forms available in the counseling office.
