Mrs.
Clayton - Librarian
Mrs. Clayton
taught English grades 9-12 for eleven years and taught at LHS for eight of those
years. She has been a librarian at MHS since 1984. She has a B. A. in English,
a Masters of Library Science, and State of Texas Certification K-12 for school
libraries. She is a member of Beta Phi Mu National Library Honor Society, the
Texas Library Association, and the Texas Computer Education Association.
She is a
native Texan born in Fort Worth. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson H. S.
in Dallas
and began her teaching career at W.T. White H.S. in Dallas. In 1973 she moved
with her family to the Lewisville area where her husband has numerous family
ties to Lewisville families. She has one daughter, Emily, who is a ' 91 MHS
graduate and a two-time A&M graduate and has a terrific son-in-law who also
has a masters degree from A&M. Mrs. Clayton and her husband enjoy traveling
to visit lighthouses and covered bridges and to eat Maine lobster in Maine.

Mrs.
Sallé - Librarian/Media Specialist
Mrs. Sallé has been involved in education many ways,
including 10 years as a teacher in both English and history, and as a school
librarian
serving students from seventh through twelfth grades for nearly 16 years. She
received a B.A. in English and History from the University of California at
Berkeley and completed a Master of Arts in Library Science from the University
of Denver. She is presently certified by the State of Texas to work with all
ages in school libraries. She worked for the Colorado State Library as the
Consultant
for School Library Media and also worked for the School of Librarianship and
Information Management at Emporia State University, Kansas in their Colorado
Distance MLS program. She has taught courses in Young Adult Services for Emporia
State as well as Colorado Christian University. She is a member of Beta Phi
Mu National Library Honor Society, the Texas Library Association and the Texas
Computer Education Association.
Mrs. Sallé lives
in Flower Mound, with her husband, Dave. She has a son who teaches in Plano
ISD, and daughter who works with an urban youth outreach. She also has
five grandchildren with one more on the way. She enjoys reading, writing, working
on her computer, traveling, and most of all family gatherings.

Mrs.
Gumienik - Library Aide
Mrs. Gumienik grew up in the rural countryside of western New York State. Before
starting college she worked as a fingerprint technician for the FBI in Washington
D.C. She married after her college sophomore year and lived in Florida, Pennsylvania,
and Ohio before moving to the Lewisville area 27 years ago with her husband
Ed, a pilot, her daughter Chris and her son Eddy. Chris was a member of the
first freshman class at MHS and Eddy was a member of the Charter class of MHS.
Mrs. Gumienik started volunteering in the MHS library when the school opened
in 1981. She became a substitute for the librarians in 1985, and in 1988 she
accepted the library aide position. In her spare time, Mrs. Gumienik enjoys
reading, sewing, traveling, collecting antiques, and playing with her two wonderful
granddaughters.

Mrs.
Roy- Library Aide
Mrs. Roy is from the New York City suburban area. As a high school senior she
was an exchange student in Belgium with the American Field Service organization
where she lived with a French-speaking family and attended a lycee in Brussels.
Upon returning, she went to college in upstate New York at Binghamton University
and received a B. A. in Russian Language and Literature. After college Mrs.
Roy moved to Alexandria, VA where she worked for a Naval Air Systems contractor,
and then to Minneapolis, MN where she married and her two sons were born. Seven
years later the family moved to Texas where the climate was a welcome change.
She has lived in Flower Mound with her family since 1987. For fun she reads,
does crossword puzzles, and bicycles.
