Dual Credit Classes

The Dual Credit program at North Central Texas College (NCTC) provides an opportunity for eligible high school juniors and seniors to enroll in college level courses AND earn both college credit and high school credit simultaneously by taking college classes at the NCTC campus and/or at their high school. These classes are also available online.

Meeting with your counselor is the fist step for students wishing to enroll in Dual Credit courses. To be eligible for Dual Credit classes students must have a 3.0 GPA and pass the THEA test.

Online Courses

LISD provides students the opportunity to participate in online courses, called VLA (Virtual Learning Academy), as part of their high school experience. Currently, students may take BCIS, Health, U.S. Government, and Economics.

  Apply online and print out Copy 1 and Copy 2 of the "TRANSCRIPT RELEASE AUTHORIZATION" form and bring both copies to the registrar in the counseling center (After the completion of your junior year).
