The Marcus Theater department would like to congratulate two
of its outstanding students. In December, five of our students
from Marcus Technical Theater entered their costume designs
for Hamlet to the UIL Design Competition. Of those five, Janine
V. and Elisa M. have advanced to the State Level!
Out of all the hundreds of schools who entered, we are the ONLY
school to advance more than one student in an event! This is
a very difficult task and a great honor. This is the first time
that Marcus has advanced in Costume Design.
Thank you,

Marcus High School Theatre Arts
has consistently provided our community with quality entertainment
for many years. The Theatre Department, working with the Choir
Department, Orchestra and Band, has given us memorable musicals
such as 42nd Street, Once Upon a Mattress, Grease, West
Side Story, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Pajama Game, and
Narnia, just to name a few. Add phenomenal sets to
the incredible talent of the actors and every show has been
a box office hit.
The Marcus High School Theatre Department is comprised of MHS
Theatre, Technical Theatre, and Musical Theatre.
