Congratulations to Adilene R. for her second place
win in the 26th Congressional District Art Exhibit. Her artwork
will hang in Congressman Michael Burgess's office in Lewisville
for the next year.
Congratulations to art student Katie V.
for winning a Gold Key in the Regional Scholastic Arts Awards
Competition in New York City and qualifying for competition on
the National Level.
Two MHS art students won
Superior ratings and Gold Medals at the State VASE Competition
in Houston this past weekend. They are Lilly H., sophmore, and
Katie V., senior, who won 2 Gold Medals. Tiffany O., senior
recieved an excellent rating.
2007 Regional Scholastic Art
Awards Three art students from Marcus HS received gold
keys in New York for the 2007 Regional Scholastic Art Awards
Competition and their artworks were selected to compete on the
national level. If juried into the National Scholastic Art Award
Competition, they will be among only about a thousand young
artists selected out of 225,000 students across the nation.
