Wrestling Team 2007
The
Marcus HS Wrestling team finished with one placer at the UIL State Meet
held in Austin. Only 90 wrestlers finish in the medal round each season.
The team qualified six wrestlers for the Region II Meet and placed eleven
out of the 13 members it entered in the district 11 meet. The team finished
26-8 and placed in the top four in five of the six tournaments the team
entered. Coach Prado was assisted by Coach Billy Miller and volunteer
coach Sam Pellissier Jr. The Marcus
Wrestling Booster Club was active with several events and provided
four scholarships to Marcus student athletes.
