We have the 'M' on the right side of the helmet ( a fattened, healthier 'M').

Marcus High School Football

 The left side of the helmet is reserved for "stars." Stars can only be earned by performing well academically. The players do not receive stars for touchdowns, tackles, blocks, great catches, or great runs. They only receive stars for A's and B's earned in their academic classes. They receive two stars for every A and one star for every B that they earned in the classroom from the previous school year. They will also have an opportunity to add to their star "collection" after the 6th and 9th weeks of this school year.
